Heatpipe Assemblies for heat dissipation

Heatpipe assemblies are heat sinks that use heat pipes to dissipate heat from electronic components. Heat pipes are passive heat transfer devices that use to transfer heat from one location to another.

A  heat pipe assembly consists of a sealed tube that contains a small amount of working fluid, such as water, alcohol, or ammonia. Of course, Cooling Source supplies heat pipe made of copper or aluminum. Cooling Source uses a wick structure inside that helps to transport the working fluid.

When the technician applies a heat load to one end of the heat pipe, the working fluid evaporates. Furthermore forms a vapor that travels to the cooler end of the heapipe. There, the vapor condenses into a liquid and releases the heat absorbed during evaporation. The condensed liquid then flows back to the hot end of the heat pipe through the wick structure.  Moreover, where the cycle begins again.
