Production

At Cooling Source, our quality policy governs every aspect of production. Manufacturing is executed through controlled, repeatable processes designed to consistently meet customer, regulatory, and program-specific requirements across defense, aerospace, medical, EV, telecom, and industrial applications.

Our U.S.-based operations are structured to support regulated programs where product integrity, traceability, and process discipline are essential.

Commitment to Engineering Integrity

All production programs originate from validated engineering designs. Thermal performance, dimensional control, and mechanical integrity are defined during design and preserved throughout manufacturing.

This commitment is upheld through:

  • Engineering ownership from design release through production
  • Process-capable designs verified prior to manufacturing
  • Documented configuration and revision control
  • Controlled transitions from prototype to full-rate production

Engineering intent is maintained at every stage to ensure product conformity and reliability.

Controlled Materials & Traceability

In alignment with our quality policy, materials are sourced from qualified suppliers and verified prior to use. Material certifications and traceability are maintained to support compliance, audits, and long-term program support.

Material controls include:

  • Incoming inspection and verification
  • Domestic sourcing for ITAR-controlled programs
  • Documentation retained per customer and regulatory requirements

These controls ensure consistency, accountability, and supply chain confidence.

Validated Manufacturing Processes

Manufacturing processes are selected, documented, and validated to ensure repeatable results. Each process operates within defined parameters and is monitored for ongoing compliance with quality objectives.

Core controlled processes include:

  • Precision CNC machining and aluminum extrusion
  • Skived and bonded fin heatsinks
  • Forged and stamped components
  • Liquid cold plates and thermal management assemblies

Process performance is continually reviewed to support continuous improvement initiatives.

In-Process Inspection & Verification

Inspection and verification activities are embedded within the production workflow. Defined inspection points ensure nonconformities are identified early and corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Quality verification includes:

  • In-process dimensional and visual inspections
  • Flatness, tolerance, and assembly verification
  • Lot-level documentation and inspection records

This systematic approach supports consistent output and audit readiness.

Controlled Finishing & Final Validation

Finishing processes are executed using qualified methods that enhance durability and environmental resistance while preserving thermal performance.

Final validation confirms:

  • Conformance to engineering and customer specifications
  • Compliance with documented finishing requirements
  • Readiness for shipment under controlled release procedures

Only conforming product is released for delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Customer Satisfaction

In accordance with our quality policy, Cooling Source is committed to continuous improvement across all production activities. Manufacturing data, inspection results, and customer feedback are actively used to refine processes, improve yields, and enhance long-term reliability.

This disciplined approach enables us to deliver consistent, high-performance thermal solutions while meeting the evolving expectations of our customers and regulatory environments.
